Similar to a Money Order, a Cashier's Check is a check-like instrument, used to make purchases or pay for services when payment requires a higher level of reliability and security than a personal check or cash. Cash funds are collected by the Credit Union and a cashier's check backed by the credit union is issued. Payee and amount are pre-filled, and the check is signed by the credit union staff.
There is only a $2.00 fee for Cashier's Checks. Cashier's Checks must be purchased with collected funds or cash only. We require payee's name and address to process your check. Money Orders are also a good alternative to Cashier's Checks.
