El Futuro CU has been certified as an Acceptance Agent by the IRS. This will allow us to process Individual Tax Identification Numbers (ITINs). This number is used in place of a Social Security Number. Although it can't be used for employment purposes, an individual can use the ITIN to process their annual tax declaration, open accounts at financial instituions, and apply for loans.  It gives an individual an avenue by which to become an active member of society even if they don't have permanent residency.
